Tomoo Gokita’s monochromatic paintings and illustrations are renowned for their ‘signature style that marries pop-cultural archetypes with surreal, noir-ish flights of fancy.’ Over the last decade Gokita has exhibited at the ATM Gallery in New York, Alice Day Gallery in Brussels, Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles, and Taka Ishii Gallery in Tokyo. He currently lives and works in Tokyo.
