The Channel Islands Dumpster Diver Surfboard is on it's second iteration, blending the front half of their Sashimi board, and the back half of the Rookie. The Dumpster Diver was built at Dane Reynolds' request, wanting something that would get him through the Trestles contest, and ended up carrying him through his final round.
Channel Islands crafted the Dumpster Diver to have enough kick in the tail to really carve in the pocket, but hauls ass at the same time. "Fun, fast, short, wide, and ugly" is how CI describes it, and it's perfect for launching in small to medium surf, and it's power is really unlocked in the hands of an expert.
