In pursuit of a waste-free shoe, Vans has created the 106 SF. Featuring Vanslite technology, the Vans 106 SF produces the great signature look you know and love, but with more natural materials and a Dri-lex eco bamboo footbed that requires no trimming or cutting when produced; hence, no waste. The upper is a combination of Hemp, premium textiles and water-based ink and glue to keep the toxicity to a minimum.
The "(Jack's) Blue Night/Flames" colorway is a special edition of the 106 SF, specifically created for the Vans Pier Classic (March '09), presented by Jack's Surfboards. The Pier Classic is another step in the Qualifying Series on the pro circuit, held on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier, as depicted on the insole of the Jack's edition of this already awesome shoe.
