Rusty Surfboards began as a suggestion from a pro surfer to then shaper Rusty Preisendorfer. Rusty had been shaping boards for top surf pro’s for a while when it was suggested to him by then world champion Peter Townend to add a logo to his boards. It was this suggestion that led to the now infamous R-dot. Now Rusty’s R-dot logo is one the most iconic and identifiable logo’s in the surf industry. They are known for creating great surfboards, boardshorts, and casual clothing. Rusty has helped shape the industry and will continue to push forward and define what is possible in the surf culture.
