 ROXY
Initially created as a women's swimwear line for the surf juggernaut, Quiksilver's, rising demand for female products, Roxy exploded almost immediately after it's release in 1990. Over the next few years, they expanded into full apparel lines for multiple markets, including snow, athletics, denim, shoes, wetsuits, tops, t-shirts, skirts, and even bedroom supplies. The ingenious logo of the standard Quiksilver wave/mountain doubled up into a heart shape was born in 1993, and rarely has a women's surf brand ascended to such heights of popularity and notoriety. Then-world-champion Lisa Andersen's signing to the Roxy label in 1994 also drove Roxy forward by leaps and bounds, and their female team riders have only grown since then, both in talent and numbers. Roxy has become the best all-around, one-stop-shopping experience for a girl's trendiest clothes, awesome accessories, and the hardest core surf and snow gear. Roxy IS style, surf, and snow, and has grown beyond merely being "Quiksilver's girl stuff." |
