Rainbow Sandals traces its roots from Laguna Beach California where it was established in 1974. Jay Longley realized there was something missing in the sandal market and started producing Men’s and Women’s sandals out of different materials like leather, hemp and rubber. They super durable hand-made sandals quickly became popular and Jay began selling more quickly. Because of the higher end materials being used in Rainbow Sandals were viewed as a higher end flip flop.
