DAKINE

Dakine began back in 1979 when Rob Kaplan started designing surf leashes that would be able to withstand the huge Hawaiian surf. The leashes were so good that windsurfers quickly took notice and asked Rob to help them design foot holds and straps for their boards. Rob then made the leap into designing bags and from there. In the 90’s they started producing gloves for snowboarding, backcountry snowboard packs and skateboard backpacks. Dakine has become an industry leader in pack designs, traction pads, surfboard leashes, travel bags, and much more.
